Award winning conversion of a former 1930’s hospital into a luxury hotel with contemporary Venetian-styled suites occupying the whole island. A “box in the box” approach was chosen to preserve the historic buildings of this conservation area, combining restoration and modernisation through the retention of the facades and the provision of modern hotel facilities within. This innovative luxury resort is a “three zero” village, both in terms of construction and of the management of the resort: zero kilometres, zero CO2, zero waste.
