Camping Marina di Venezia, Venice, Italy – 2015
Services: Architecture, Interior design
Building use: Restaurant and bar with ice-cream parlour
Phase: Start 2014 – Completed 2015
Following the successful design of the Garden Villas, Camping Marina di Venezia commissioned MTLC srl, now Lev Arch srl, to also design the new “Piacermio” refreshment and restaurant area.
The project is characterized by a linear architecture and by the continuity it offers between the interior and the surrounding gardens. Its scheme, infact, reinforces the concept of botanical architecture applied to the design of the Garden Villas, optimizing the integration of the scheme with the existing garden.
The campsite’s existing pine forest determined the layout and arrangement of the buildings. Mature trees are preserved and the project takes full advantage of the shade they provide. Beyond the refurbishment of their existing restaurant, the aim was to introduce a new “fine dining” experience in line with the high expectations associated with the increasingly popular “glamping” trend(camping with glamour). Large windows can be completely opened to offer diners close contact with the surrounding garden successfully merging interior, nature and light.
