Luxury living and cultural heritage. With unobstructed views onto Rome’s Colosseum, Ludus Magnus is the result of the conversion of two former office buildings into luxury residential. Located next to the homonymous archaeological excavations, the site is of extraordinary historical importance and the scheme had to follow strict heritage conservation regulations, in particular for the design of the facades and selection of the cladding. This resulted in a sober yet elegant volume and the choice of travertine natural stone. The internal layouts were reconfigured to create a total of fourteen apartments with surfaces ranging from 40 to 250sqm, equipped with select contemporary furniture and finished to very high standards.
